  1. My friend bought one and he has had no problems that I know of. He has had if about 4 years now (maybe 5).
  2. Nice tub! Whats that green stuff on the ground to the right of the gazebo? It looks like grass.
  3. Its already dang cold here, and the worst thing is getting out of a HOT tub and putting on a COLD towel or house coat. So I made a cedar vertical locker, or I guess you could call it or a very small closet. Its about 3 feet across, 2 feet deep and 5 feet tall. I wanted it heated to, so told my buddy what I wanted done. He put a small 30 watt bulb (that usually goes into an oven) in the cabinet, its hooked on to a 1 hour timer and a thermostat(just in case it gets too hot) So I go out to the tub, open the little door to the "closet" to put the towels in and that turns on the light and timer for one hour! It keeps the stuff nice and warm and I NEVER have to remember to shut the light OFF!!
  4. buyers remorse ? Aint that the same feeling a guy gets the first morning he wakes up after his honey-moon?
  5. Ceramic insulation is really cool http://www.eaglecoatings.net/ check out the H20 proof stuff, EPOXOTHERM ® UNDER WATER AND WET SURFACE COATING its kinda interesting.

  7. Wholly-crap, nice deck and good idea! Nice Tub Too!
  8. Roger, I think he was asking for HELP, not for insulting comments. If you actually were to READ his post he said "I called for service and I'm waiting for them to call me back." Hes excited and wants his tub fixed ASAP. Roger Im sure in your countless years as a "Independent repair technician" Im sure you have worked on many Jacuzzi 480s.
  9. To move mine, all we did was rent 2 piano dollys from Home depot and while we were there I bought a 6 x 8 foot sheet of osb and they cut it in 4 2' X 4' pices. We placed the wood on the lawn and rolled the tub across it.
  10. Biggz better then us? All I know is he can write really well, hes articulate and makes good argumentative points..... what a second? He IS better then ME!! And he has a dang nice tub too (I have seen the pics)
  11. Rodger if what you said is true, "I have more work than I can handle with plumbing and other stuff"... your last post was at 11:56 am, then 11:41am, one before that was 7:41am, before that 4:36am, before that 2:31am. Between fixing tubs, running your own business and being up all night monitoring a hot-tub chat room on the internet... your one busy guy!! Do you know hunting season opens on the 19th? I am thinking you should take a break form all this and set your sights on something else for a while... hunting can also be very relaxing:)
  12. Roger, you are member #8! You have been here for almost 3 years making 2 posts per day! In the near future, where the money will be made is not in selling the Spas, but in servicing them. The spa I wanted was 13,00$, and I got the guy down to 11,500 and a top-lift (that was in July). In September the same spa was at the same dealer WITH the lift for 9000!!! That made me really mad! IF I would have bought it... I would have been pissed off! So when the delivery truck came to drop off my Infinity tub, it was actually a FULL semi-trailer unit and it had 14 CostCo tubs in it. All 14 tubs were being delivered in my side of town all within 5 miles of each other. Thats 14 tubs the dealers were not able to sell, because they are charging too much. Dealers are not "ripping people off", they are just have not realized the market has changed and they must adjust their prices. When I fill the tub and hooked it up, one pump didn't work, so I called Infinity. They gave me a # of a dealer to call, and they were FANTASTIC, they came on a Friday night at 7pm to fix it!!! So I guess I have dealer support after all
  13. CVERBOORT! Congrats on the tub! If your thinking of a gazebo, like one of them pre-fab easy to set up ones that people buy for weddings and parties.... well they are ok in the rain, but if it snows.. say good-bye to the gazebo! Also congrats to the powers at be.. there was no bashing or flaming in the entire post!!! Pheww, what a relief:)
  14. I don't think you can use the analogy of comparing Big Box tubs and high end dealer spas to that of comparing a KIA to a BMW. I'm thinking if you really want to do the "vehicle" analogy, you could use the Cadillac Escalade Chevy Avalanche comparison. The two are pretty dam much the same truck! But one costs 60K and the other 35K. Similar, yet different. I imagine the Escalade owners would argue theirs are better because they payed more; and the Avalanche owners will argue theirs are just as good and payed less.
  15. I was chatting with a buddy about insulating my hot tub and he told me I should insulate EVERY PIPE THAT MOVES WATER! And I said, "thats a **** load of pipes in a hot tub"! He mentioned something about efficiency and a bunch of other things that made sense at the time, but I have since forgot. He told me to get those black plastic foam pipe insulators (they come in many different sizes) and zip-tie them ALL! I looked for a link to show you the stuff he was taking about, but couldnt find a good one. He sent me this link too------> http://www.bchydro.com/powersmart/elibrary/elibrary700.html
