  2. You should not add aquafinesse ever. Read the sticky thread on the dichlor/bleach method in hot tub water chemistry section. Bear in mind that ozone and uv will both eliminate chlorine in your water, so shock after each use and expect low or no chlorine the next day. A new spa should be purged with Ahh-Some spa purge. After testing the spas are often stored for long periods and then shipped around the country which can result in all kinds of nasties growing inside the pipes. Clean that stuff out.

  3. The exact distance depends on the type of lift and size of spa cover. You should leave enough room for a person to sit or risk significant increase in repair costs. Even under warranty, moving the spa for access is not covered.

  4. Algea requires sunlight to grow. If you are using your cover I doubt it is algea. I am not a fan of algaecide in a spa, most are just adding copper to the water which could cause some problems, such as green stuff on the bottom of your spa.😁 Do you use a metal sequesterant? @waterbear, any insight?

  5. Generally speaking, swim spas are going to start around $20k and go on up from there. I know the ATV line from Marquis can go from about $20k up to about $35k and Endless Pool from about $20k up to $50k+ but I don't know any other specific pricing.
