  1. Guys...thanks for all of the input...I will call them tomorrow and ask about the jets...as for the heater...I used to own a Catalina and it was never an issue, so this is why it is strange to me...I live in North Carolina, near the coast, so it doesn't get too cold here....an example...I can walk out to the spa and get ready to get in with the temp set at 104, and reading 104...the pumps may be off at this time...I can cut on the all three pumps and the temp will usually drop a couple of degrees within a minute or so...I can understand this, because I assume that with the water circulating, the waterfall bring water out into the air, combined with air being injected into the water it would cool it...the problem is that it then takes the tub a very long time to ever climb back up in temp...and the heater is running during this time, because as soon as the temp drops below what you have it set for, the heater light comes on flashing and then stays on while it heats the tub back up....to me though, 30 to 45 minutes just seems like a long time for this to take....Thanks for all of the help...
  2. I have had a Down East Exeter SE model made by Masterspa for about 2 years now...the dealer that I purchased it from no longer carries Masterspa, so needless to say, they aren't interested in dealing with it and their customer service sucks...I love the spa, but have 2 issues: 1. Ever since I have had the spa (and this is my second one) it seems to take the heater longer to heat the water than normal (compared to my last one)...if I get in the spa when the water temp is at say 104, it will drop usually when you cut on the jets to say 102...but most of the time, I can be in the tub for 30 to 45 minutes and it won't get back to 104... 2. This is the main problem...I recently found about 6 little grey plastic inserts which look to have come out of some of the jets...I called the dealer...the 1st person said that it was because I haven't maintained the right water chemistry and they probably won't be warranteed because of it....talked to the second person who said this is normal that spa jets will deteriorate over a couple of years and that this is not covered under warranty...I bought a 5 year extended warranty that I was told covered everything but now am being told it covers nothing but the electronics.... Has anyone had these problems or has any info... Thanks
