  1. 1992 Classic.  120 volt.  Heater keeps tripping the red overload button.  Where to start?

  2. My heater is not heating.

The light by HTR ON is red.

    LIM OK is green.

    D9 is red.

    D10 is green.

Is my heater shot?  It was working fine yesterday.

    I can't successfully upload pictures

The relay board had a chip that was burnt.  I repalced the board and everything is good now.  The chip is to close to the metal frame.  Now they tell me to bend up the metal for more clearance.  Good thing to know.

  3. I have 2007 hotspring vista with spaudio system. The control panel has nothing, flashing light says control panel hook up? Is it even hooked up right? Help! Can't upload images!

  4. My Hot Springs Vanguard is foaming even though the pH is in the good range. It's got the saltwater system too and is not producing chlorine. Any advice?

  5. I just got a used Sovereign Model II - looks like it is from 2004 - and am trying to acquire the correct breaker sub panel without spending $570 (see https://www.hottubspasupplies.com/catalog/product/view/id/36184/s/301757-breaker-subpanel-box-1/category/2/). I am no electrician - we're hiring one to install this - and am trying to find the right setup.

Can I get any breaker box that will hold a 30 amp and 20 amp breaker? Any thoughts on how I could find the right set up and save $$?

  6. JUST RECEIVED A HOT SPRINGS ENVOY SPA.

  7. 1992 Classic, original owner.  About 3 feet of the tile mosaic at the waterline has come loose from the tub.  The underlying adhesive does not seem like the silicone that holds the tile together and can easily be rubbed off with my finger and disintegrates in the water as white flakes.  The mosaic tiles are still bonded together.  What is the best procedure/material to glue the mosaic back onto the tub?

I ended up using 3M 5200 marine sealant/adhesive, so far, so good.

  8. 1999 Grandee auxiliary control panel control issue. Only JET2 button functions. Neither JET1 nor light controls work. The Main control panel works fine to control jets and lights.  This problem persisted even after I replaced aux control panel and main control panel electronics with a Watkins Panel 98/99, 4 Button White 71934 Spa Replacement. The replacement was needed to fix my failing LCD display, but went about swapping the AUX panel to see if the longstanding problem it has had would be resolved too. I am on IQ2000 electronics. Thanks!

I'm suspecting it is the crimped RJ6 interface. I followed the instructions that came with the replacement aux panel but I must have interpreted them wrong. Given only one switch on aux panel works I suspect I've crimped the interface cable that connects to the main control panel in the reverse orientation. I'll try recrimping RJ6 and report back.

All good. RJ6 crimp was backwards.

  9. Green logo light flashing is for ACE or control thermistor. If you verify your ACE has no service requests, then you should contact your dealer to troubleshoot the flashing green
  10. You should contact a dealer with your spa serial number so a proper diagnosis can be made. The part numbers you reference are not any kind of numbers used by our system. A dealer should be able to diagnose this quickly, and save changing parts that may not need to be changed.
  11. That part is the flow valve for the Bellafontana. You will need to have your dealer come out to look at your spa and make sure a new valve is installed correctly.
  12. Your circ pump should run 24/7 unless you are in summer timer. The heater light will be on when the spa is heating. If you do not have good flow, the spa will not heat.
  13. You did not give a serial number, but for the last 15 years the 30 amp breaker control the spa side, not the heater side. Where is you neutral wire in you sub panel? It need to be on the load side of the breaker and not the neutral bar.
  14. That ohm value is too high. You should contact your dealer for service to ensure you get the correct heater to keep your spa operating correctly.
  15. You should have a dealer or electrician come out and test the current leakage of your spa to find out why your breaker is tripping.
