Have the eco matic 16 SWG, for the first 8 months did not have to clean the cell as it cleaned itself by + and -. After 8 months needed to be cleaned weekly. Under warranty they replaced the cell then determined the board was bad as it stayed on +. They replaced the board but was told every 8 hours should reverse itself but it takes 2 to 3 days. Now after a little over a week since board replaced the new cell outer plates are full of white scale. Any ideas???

Am having a salt generator added to my pool, trying to decide which would be the better and more reliable brand between two Compuchlor or Ecomatic. Any resposes would be welcome, live in Florida if that helps.
