  1. It looks to be the metal ring on the fixture that is getting held up on the metal. Before I go hacking the top piece of metal out, is there another type of light that would fit this niche better? Thanks
  2. My pool light was out, and stupidly I cut the light cord at the fixture and brought the light to my nearest pool store for a replacement (my friend told me you couldn't replace the bulb because it was a sealed unit. Anyway, the light I had was small and said "Sunbrite" on it. The replacement I was given was the same size but an Aqualight by Pentair. They said this light should fit. I pulled the new cord through the conduit without a problem, cut the cord and made my electrical connections, but not I cannot get the light to fit into the niche. I can get it secure but there is a major gap between the light and the pool wall. It seems that the niche had two metal plates (one on top with a screw hole and one on the bottom) that are preventing the new light from fitting securely into the niche. Am I just not trying hard enough? Should I cut the metal plates out and use a light wedge to secure the light? I am at a loss. The pool company is of no help and they won't let me return the light because I already cut the wires. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pulleyman
  3. Piece of plastic and some epoxy on the perimeter? Can you please be a little more specific. What type of plastic and on the perimeter of what? Thanks
  4. The pressure depends on alot of factors. If you start with a clean filter, that is what your pressure should be at. The pressure will be different from system to system based upon the plumbing sizes, amount of head, etc. If your filter is clean, that is where your pressure should be at.
  5. I just got a new house and the pool level was very low, below the light when I opened it. There was a ton of dirt down near the light so I pulled the light out and found a hole a little bigger then my fist in the back of the light niche. The hole is on the top of the niche and not near the conduit for the cord. Does anyone have any guesses on how I can seal this leak (hole)? Thank you in advance
