I know its kind of early, but I'm opening up my pool. i've removed the cover and cleaned it and cleaned and reassembled the filter and pump. My problem is I have a leak around the water inlet lock return fitting on the outside of the pool. The gasket apparently needs to be replaced. I've purchased a new water inlet lock return fitting with new gaskets. I CANNOT figure out how to get the old water inlet lock return fitting to completely unscrew. It is loosened but will not completely come apart. Has anyone encountered this and what can I do to get it to detach without damaging the pool? I'm worried about what will happen to my water if I don't get it moving soon as the cover is already removed. Many Thanks for any help anyone can provide!!!
