Well $5k is still a little higher than the market normally would pay for a 3 yr old Catalina with no warranty (certainly more reasonable than $6k which you were obviously flexible on) but you had nothing to lose by asking high and you found the right buyer so good for you.
Those numbers are valid. But I'm not in an area that will weather out a spa. It's well kept, used occasionally for back aches and for fun. Doesn't scratch easy. If I had the space for it, I'd keep it. But could not figure out how to build around it.

Hi all,
I am putting in a pool and I really do not like the pool spas. I like my Catalina Spa because it has the jets in the right places. Do you guys know of any pool construction companies who have incorporated a spa into the design of a new pool (keeping in mind that a built in spa may take it's place down the road) or is it just too much of a hassle to try to get the things you want together.
Also, any recommendation on pool companies and why you'd use them again would be great. Also, any questions that should be asked while interviewing pool companies. Do they all do designs for free? What is the average cost of a pool and slide & grotto now-a-days.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
