  1. What's the most common cause of a flashing water care indicator light (the water drop icon) ? Is it measuring salt levels, chemical levels, dirty filter ? 2010 Hotsprings Vanguard with ACE. Thanks
  2. Make sure your spa size is set correctly, up the usage level and hit BOOST several days in a row.
  3. I LOVE the ACE. Set-up in October and haven't had to add a single chemical except a little pH down. I test once a week. If anything is low, I press BOOST on the controller and that is it. People that don't like ACE probably don't have one.
  4. Congratulations and well done. May you enjoy it for many years in good health. Contact me if you need any help with the ACE. Randy
  5. Make him a counter-offer that you are comfortable with and let him know it is your best that you can do. It's a buyer's market. I still give two thumbs way up for the ACE system. It's not maintenance free but increasing chemical levels is done with the push of a button instead of dumping money into the water. The people that don't like it have likely never owned one.
  6. the price on the jetsetter is very fair with numbers I have seen. I would not use this forum as a gauge for pricing because most people tend to only post prices when they have been given a "steal" and we never know the full story behind these spas...could have been a showroom model for an entire year with some minor scratches, etc, could be a factory discounted "blemish" spa, could be a spa that has been repossessed due to non-payment, and numerous other reasons. Now there is nothing wrong with this, we offer "steal" prices on these spas as well but if your talking factory wrapped, brand new, you are getting an average or fair price. Now as far as the two spas in question, as long as the above part in bold is true then the decision is simple to me, wet test both and pick the one you and your wife like the best
  7. I would ask them to throw in the ACE. It's a very nice feature and a reasonable negotiating point.
  8. don't get the ACE confused with the words "no maintenance" or "no chemicals needed" you still need to properly balance your chemicals (CH,TA,pH) before the salt is added, and check and adjust(as needed of course) once a week, but the salesman you spoke with is also correct, if it is a very low use spa you can get away with ozone(standard on jetsetter), silver ion, MPS, chlorine as needed which works wonderful (most of my jetsetter owners tend to be low use so the majority is on that system) the price is also very fair, not a steal, but your def. not overpaying Okay, good to know, thanks.
  9. My mistake, it was $8200. Just edited my post.
  10. they are either going out of business or don't like making a profit
  11. I have a 2010 HS Vanguard and paid 8200 out the door with cover, cover lifter, upgraded TRIX filters and the ACE System. Curious as to why you are not going with the ACE ? I LOVE it so far. Since getting everything balanced after the initial set-up in October I have not had to add a single chemical and everything has been spot on during my weekly testing. If the levels start to get low, you just press BOOST on the controller and it takes care of itself without having to add a thing. Randy
  12. The ACE Salt System may be the closest thing to care-free. Have not had to add a single chemical since I got everything balanced after start-up in late October. Dipstick readings have been spot-on.
  13. Thanks Jerimiah, that's the answer I was hoping for !
  14. I cut the electricity to my Hotsprings Vanguard while cleaning the filter. Do I have to re-enter spa size, usage, etc. or will the controller maintain it in memory ? Thanks in advance, Randy
