They just delivered my new Grandee hot spring tub today. The problem is that my new 16' x 16' x 6" concrete patio was installed and the center is crowned by a 1/4" high, which causes the tub (dry) to wabble from side to side about 3/8" of an inch. So when level, the center of the tub is on concrete but the last 1'0 on each end is about 3/8" above the concrete. How do I fix this in a manner that is good for the tub in the long run. The manufacture said to grout it in. The tub installer said to fill it with water and the tube will give and settle for 3/8" (ea side). I want to do the best for the tub and for the long run. Any answers on the best way to solve this rocking problem. I can't believe the concrete can only be 1/4 off and the tube wont set level??

Well like I said we went with the Grandee by Hot Springs. I bought the upright lifter. It only has to have 7" of clearence to open. I dont have a issue with clearence, but it will save space on my patio should I never want to enclose the spa. I also got a towel holder and a hand rail. I passed on a step, because I can make one from wood. I'm in the process of installing a 14' x 14' x 6" thick concrete slap on a 4" bed of granular, next to my wood deck. Therefore, the concrete pad can serve as both a foundation for the spa or a concrete patio addition to the wood deck. That way, if I move and take the spa, the concrete pad can still remain as a patio. I am going to run a 1" pvc conduit under the slab for electrical wiring. Hopefully, this all I need? Any thoughts??

well we went with the hot springs grandee. Does any on know about the up rite lift vs the cradle life

Thanks. We want to buy one that will last. I have just came back from the Hot Springs dealer and he has a "Grandee" hot tub with all of the standard features including the ozonator. I really like this tub too. It has no lounger which is ok with me. For a big guy, I would rather not have the lounger ( I float up and off the seat) Does anyone know about this tub or does anyone have one? Without the sterio system is about the same price as the Jacuzzi J355. It's a bigger tub and seems very well built. It seem to be very easy to get in and out of one. I am going back to the store to wet test it.

HI I live in Illinois and my wife and I are looking for a hot tube. We have never owned one and are looking for good one and need your advise on selecting a good one. I am 6'5 at 325# big boy and it is hard for me to get around in most of the ones with fitted seats. They seem not to have the room for big people. We have tried them out: calderia, hot springs, jacuzzi, marquis, cal spa etc and the one we are leaning towards is the jacuzzi J355. It seams to have enough power and the right price at $8000.00 and I can move around in it. Any comments on the Jacuzzi brand (J355 & J365 & J375 etc) and any other information that will help us out. I heard that you tend to float off lounger seats is that true? If I cound find a good used one at a good price we would do that too. Thanks for any help Ted
