  1. thanks for the replies. I've since found this out from talking to a few pool places as well. Ordered a new liner and it's supposed to be here Monday. I hope it goes in as easy as you're saying yours did! It's HOT here in the North East! We need our pool!!!
  2. Also, Here is a pic, you can kind of see where the wall is and where the liner is at. see how far it seems to be from the side? Is that normal?
  3. So we bought a used pool and took it down, brought it home and installed it. Found out today it is an Esther Williams pool and the liner that the guy had in is not the correct liner. It is an overlap liner and it needs a beaded liner. We installed the liner anyway, thought it worked for him, why won't it work for us. Now after lookign, the liner loosk way too small and looks like it may bust at the seam when we put water in. It's about a foot away from the wall of the pool. So we want to get the right liner for it. So I have two questions. Is there any place where we can get a manual for installing an EW pool? We are trying to find out the distance that is supposed to be from the sand, to the top of the pool. We are afraid if we put in the right liner, we may not have enough sand and will be in the same boat, with a liner that is too small and will have to stretch too much once filled. anyone know that distance? I am having a hard time finding out any information online and cant' even find an esther williams website.
  4. Thanks for your response. We aren't sure what brand liner it is. Since we bought it used. As far as I know the pool is square. We actually have more sand in the bottom than the guy who previously had the pool. He only had about an inch above the straps, we have 3 or 4. Yes, we put in a cove. And we are in PA. Thing is, the guy who owned the pool before us used this liner, so I'm not sure what to think. If it worked for him, will it work for us? Do I want to chance it. Anyway, here is a quick picture. I'm not sure you will be able to tell how far from the walls the actual liner is in some places. We can push in gently and get the liner to the walls, just not sure it's supposed to stretch that much.
  5. We bought a used pool, took it down and put it up in our yard. We just put the liner in tonite. It was a replacement, beaded liner. Our problem is, it is not tight up against the sides of the pool At some points, there is a good foot where it is pulled away from the bottom, side of the pool. Looks like it will stretch too much when water is added. we are afraid of a seam ripping once it's filled. So my question is, is it normal for the liner to not be tight up against the sides of the pool and need to stretch a lot during filling in order for it to be tight up agasint the walls?
