  1. I have a pool (figure 8 so to speak), I have drained my pool, and left it drained for 4 weeks - i have noticed that some of my plaster/mar-site has fallen off and now has exposed some cement. My question is do i need to re-mar site my entire pool? Can I just patch it? Does exposed cement really do anything harmful to the pools foundation? Just want to know how to proceed. Thanks.
  2. Details: Older (80s) inground concrete pool. Me: complete newbie on them. There are a few areas (steps, 1sq foot in shallow end) where the marcite(?) is cracked and coming up. Previous owner was going to fill pool in, however he did not. Pool was drained in April, and has been sitting completely empty and exposed to the elements. Previous owner mentioned to me that he thought it would need to be completely re-marcited because it has been exposed to the elements for last several months (Michigan). Is this the case? Can I simply just patch the areas that need patching and fill this pool up and enjoy it for a couple months? Awesome forum, look forward to reading about chemicals soon -Chris
