I was wondering when I put the salt in my pool, will it hurt the liner if it sits on the bottom? I mixed a small amount in a bucket and it did not "quick dissolve" as the package stated. I just don't want to put a 100lbs or more of salt in the pool and it burn through my liner. Any thoughts. Thanks.

So no-one has any suggestions/opinions/recommendations on the Intek salt water system. THis is hard to believe, it seems in today's world everyone has at least an opinion.

Ok, I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of the salt water system for an above ground pool. I have seen them on in-ground and it doesn't seem to be too far fetched, but I wanted to get some opinions/advise before I made my purchase. I saw one at Lowes the other day for around $175.00, but I don't know if it is a cheap one or if anyone has ever used these before. My pool is a 24' round with a 1/2hp motor on the pump with a 150lb sand filter. I currently use Pristine Blue products, before that was Bauquicil and I just wanted to see if this will help maybe save me some money on chemicals. It appears it simply hooks up between your skimmer and the inlet of the pump. Any information will be greatly appreciated, as I don't want to waste my money here. THanks v/r gadawg
