I decided to go with the Hot Springs. Hooking up the electric tomorrow and the tub is being delivered on Tuesday. I can't wait.

I didn't get to tend to my 24' above ground pool much last year and it is filled with leaves, dirt and other debris. I am in the process of draining and refilling it now, but my pump is a bit underpowered and is taking a while (on second day now). I have a few questions: 1) Can I drain the entire pool or do I have to leave a foot or so? 2) I was wondering how long I can leave the water out of the pool before I run into problems. (It will be 60 and sunny all week with lows in the upper 30s at night) 3) Is there a good way to vacuum up all all the dirt or do I have to wait until I fill the pool up and use the pool vac? This is a great forum with lots of information. I have been looking for a hot tub off and on since I purchased my house 5 years ago. I finally have the funds to buy one and have been doing a lot of research. I like the bullfrog spa concept but the only dealer is 3 hours away and I want to buy locally for service. I have narrowed it down to two choices, a 2010 Hot Springs Envoy and a 2009 floor model Maxx 471 My wife and I both wet tested the two tubs. My wife is 5'3" and I am 6'6" so finding a tub was difficult. My wife liked the lounger in the Maxx better but I did not fit under the neck rest in the tub. I liked the moto massager in the Hot springs. I don't know much about Maxx spas but the dealer said they run about a dollar a day in my area (Pennsylvania). The hot springs dealer quoted about 15 dollars a month (a co-worker has a grandee and says it runs just about that, more in winter, less in summer) The Maxx is a 2009 floor model with the premium package is 8600 out the door including tax, delivery, setup, cover, lift and startup chemicals. The Hot Springs is 9400 plus tax and does not include the lift. I am looking for opinions on these two tubs. I see a lot of good reviews on the Hot Springs but not much on the Maxx Spas.
