Hi folks. I have a 2008 Limelight pulse that I'm very happy with. But this winter some of the led lights started to malfunction. My dealer told me (and I have read this on some forums) that there were problems with the first revisions of the leds lights. Anyway, my dealer told me they could exchange every one of them which they did. It worked for like 2 weeks but now NO led works Dealer is coming out monday to exchange a "control box" so I hope everything should turn out fine. But it got me thinking, is these kind of errors "normal" on the Limelight series? Anyone with expericence? //Thomas

Limelight - Quick Question About Lighting
ThomasSE replied to Frankco's topic in Portable Hot Tubs & Spas
Hmmm, my mistake then. I counted to 8 colors. Regarding cupholders, there are decent spaces in the Pulse to but your beer on. I do recommend this though: http://www.stenings.se/pool/?page=150 (Website in swedish but you'll get the picture) I'm pretty sure you find a similar one in the US (like 110% sure ) Huge success everytime. //Thomas -
Limelight - Quick Question About Lighting
ThomasSE replied to Frankco's topic in Portable Hot Tubs & Spas
Just tried to freeze the color on my Pulse, didn't work. Tried a lot of combos. However, there are at least 8 colors to choose from if you don't use the loop function. And we think its good enough. //Thomas -
Thanks for the answer Ok, called their customer service to get more exact numbers. It's 3.63% sodium hypochlorite. It's weak then, but if I don't find anything else do you think it's worth switching method? Or should I stick to "old method"? Not sure what is worse, lowering PH with PH down all the time or get high CYA... Going to a few supermarkets today, I've been told that they sometimes carry Clorox..

Thanks for the answers. Actually, I had a bottle of chlorine at home (doh) But when I look att the ingredients it only says: disinfectants <5% And to avoid using it on silver, aluminum and non stainless steel. Seems to be without scent (of course it smells chlorine ) Going to call the company that manufactures it tomorrow. EDIT: Found a more detailed info, does the below makes sense? Substances:Sodium hypochlorite Classifications:R31 C;R34 N;R50 w/w%:1-5 pH concentrated:13,2 ± 0,2 So if I understand correctly it contains Sodium hypochlorite in 1-5% concentration?

Hi folks. Ok, now I had it with dichlor in my tub, my water is ~2 months old and just checked my CYA, over 80 (using Lamotte ColorQ pro) I want to switch to Nitros/Chemgeeks way, Dichlor/Bleach. Problem is, I'm not in the US so I don't now what to buy here(Sweden). Is it ordinary Chlorine? If a buy a bottle and try to translate the ingredients on it to english, is there someone here that can check if we have the same stuff overhere as you have in the US? So I don't put funny stuff in my tub I have a weak memory that Sweden banned "pure" chlorine to ordinary folks due to some environment issue..but I'm not sure..

Hi. I also own a Hotspring (or more exactly a Limelight SPA made by HS) and I'm located in Sweden. Same heater & pumps setup. My heater shut's down when I'm running the jets. And then I'm using one "phase" for the heater, and one for the jets. I've heard that it is possible to move a "jumper setting" so the heater won't shut down when running the jets having this setup so I'm going to call my dealer and ask how. But if you only have one phase, it probably won't work, you are probably going to trip the breaker. //Thomas

My thought was that getting TA to 160 then use PH down which also lowers TA. So when I lower ph from 8.5 to 7.5 the TA should be ~100(My tapwater is ph 8.5.) But maybe 160 is too high, let's say 140-150. Maybe this is a bad idea? Also, spoke with the dealer here today, they're saying that TA is more important than PH...feels wrong when reading all the posts here Regarding tablespoons/teaspoons I might have got it wrong, have to recheck. "Funny thing" is that the HS dealer in Scandinavia has its HQ in norway...so all the text on the chems are in norwegian...and I'm swedish. (But they are pretty similar tough) And then I'm trying to translate everything to english when I post here... Life is hard sometimes

Heh. Death spiral is what it feels like. Anyway, yesterday I added more ph-down, I wanted to lower it from 8.0 to 7.5. Looked at the ph-down "manual" and it said one tablespoon per 400 liters/105 gallons to lower it 0.2. So I added 7 tablespoons of it, my tub hold 1438 litres/380 gallons. Wooooh, ph got down to 6.2...not good. TA was also very low. Added 125 grams/0.27 lbs of "baking soda" and waited an hour. Now PH is 7.5 and TA is 80 so I'm "happy". So I should be ok for now? I'm thinking that for the next refill I will balance TA to 160-170 which is a bit high, wait for 24 hrs then use PH-down. Good or bad? I don't know if they sell "Borates" overhere but I will look for it.

Strange is that the manufacturer of the SPA wants me to have 100-150 TA and 7.4-7.6 ph. Seems impossible with the chems I got with the tub. //Thomas

Hi, been lurking around this forum trying to get an answer to my problem... I have read Nitros excellent guides but I still want to get learn more. I refilled my tub a week ago. After filling I first adjusted the TA level to 100. Then the CH to 150. Everything fine there, but my PH was waaay too high, 8.5. (My tapwater has ph 8.5) So, I used PH-down and got the ph down to 7,6. But then TA got down to 50-60... Filled with more baking soda to get back TA to 100.. but then PH is also increased to 8.3. I've read in several places that this is normal and that ph is more important than TA? So I should accept lower TA as long as the ph is good? Sorry is this topic has been covered in a previous thread... Edit: It has, found it. Wonder how I missed this one http://www.poolspaforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23132 //Thomas

200? That's a lot. Wonder why we in EU have so much lower amps. Anyway, I'm not an electrician but my tub is connected through 2*20 amps. The heater on 20 and the pumps on 20. Shouldn't I be able to run the heater AND the pumps at the same time? The heater is only 1500 watts.. It will be interesting to see if the heater can keep up when the temp is going below -5 ºC / 23 ºF, so far we had a relative "mild" fall/winter here in Sweden (Stockholm area)...around 8 ºC /46.4 ºF

Hi. I'm experiencing similar problems as Zirgalmnod. I own a Hotspring Limelight Pulse and is also located in Sweden. I've looked at the specs in the manual from the web (http://www.limelighthottubs.com/) says the heater is 4000 watts. However, in the printed one I got with the tub it says 1500... Seems at bit small for 380 gal/1430 litres? Wonder if I can switch the heater to a more powerful one... I'll noticed that when I run both jets, the heater turns off. //Thomas
