  1. Hi! We are winterizing our pool for the 3rd time. It's a large (16 x 32) above ground pool. Following our pool store's expert advice, the water was balanced and I lowered the water to a little below the skimmer and then added liquid shock and liquid algaecide. It created a thick cloud in the water that I brushed to disperse evenly throughout the pool. Covered it with a leaf net temporarily so I could see, after a few days, that there were whitish deposits all over the floor of the pool. Upon inspection it the deposits appeared to be granular. The guy at the pool store said he had never seen that happen before. He suggested I brush it up. It brushed up easily and the water was cloudy with it until, after about a week, we had the same type of deposits on the pool floor again. Any explanation or advice? Thanks!
