  1. I stand corrected on the CSI. With the current conditions ph = 7.6 TA 40 CH = 70 the CSI = -0.59 As the CYA increases the CSI becomes more negative. Increasing TA and/or CH brings the CSI closer to zero.
  2. Well now that the water has been in the tub for 36 hours and it is heated to 99 degrees F, a check of the ph now shows 7.6 (Taylor test kit). Thats a CSI of -0.18 from the pool calculator. I haven't done anything else to the water, so maybe the temperature has something to do with the water chemistry and the ph change. I think for now, I will leave things alone and see how things maintain.
  3. I was wondering what procedure I should use to get the water parameters more in line Thanks
  4. I've done Nitro's decontamination procedure, enzyme, drain, refill, bleach then drain. I've just refilled the tub and the current water conditions are TA=40ppm ph=>8.0 CH=70ppm water temp is currently 68 degrees F. The water was tested twice with the Taylor test kit. The water is city conditioned water. The pool calculator with the current conditions has a CSI of -0.18 (if the water was 100 degrees F), but doesn't the ph seem to be to high? Any recommendations Thanks Glenn
