That's the same problem I had a year ago and it was one of those switches on the back of the valves. You will need to play with both valves to see which combo works for you. I have a Salt pool that needs 4 pints of acid and 9 pounds of hardener due to a re-fill of the pool. I know I have to spread the dosages out into 3 days but can I add each of the chemicals on the same day/same time or can I add on same day spread out between 4 hours. The pool is 14,800 gallons, white plaster. This is what needs to be added: 4 pints of acid 9 pounds of hardener 2 pounds of stabilizer 1 bag of salt 2 pounds of shock What's the best order to add them?

I wish I could follow mine in this way, but my conduit runs under a stained concrete deck. As the temp in the pool has warmed, I've kept trying to pull with no luck. I'm considering using a high temp/high pressure waterproof splice to add a new light. Otherwise, I'm not sure how to be assured I can use the light without ripping out the deck. This is not really a fix but you can buy a floating kaleidoscope light from a pool supply place. Hi: Is there a cover than I can get that will minimize the amount of sand/silt I get in my inground pool. I would primarily use the cover when mowing the lawn which surrounds the pool and when it's not in use. It's an ongoing battle with the pool right now. Clean it out completely and wake up the next day with sand/silt in the pool and spa. Our pool is curvy, i.e. a lazy 8 with a spa on one end. I don't want the pool cover to be fastened to our pool decking. If there is no standard cover, my wife and I were thinking of making our own if we knew the best type of material to buy? Thanks

I acid cleaned the Intellichlor so now it reads a good salt level (3500 ppm). It had a pretty good amount of buildup in it. I will get the water level tested again. If it's too high then my pool builder will drain the pool partially for me.

My Intellichlor last week indicated low salt levels so when all was done, I ended up adding 3 bags of salt which now brings my salt level up to 6200 PPM, which is way too high. The new reading was from a pool supply place that i get the water tested at regularly. The chlorine level is good at 2.0 PPM. Funny, the Intellichlor still indicates low salt. The pool supply place says leave it alone. My pool builder says drain the pool 2/3 down and add water to dillute the salt. What should I do? What's the best way to drain the pool? Do I use a sub pump or move the handle on the main drain valve near my pool equipment? If I have to drain, shall I wait till it's drained 2/3 down before adding water or should I add water, spraying the now exposed plaster as I go along? Draining the pool even 2/3 down scares the living cr%p out of me. Thanks for any advice Jose P.S. My pool does not have any aluminum fixtures, such as ladders.

On most valve there is a little toggle switch mounted on the back of the motor drive. It has three positions. Middle is off, up or down is what you what to try. If it up push it down. this should spin the valve 180 degrees It Worked! I put the toggle switch for valve #2 in the middle position (OFF) and now the Spa runs and the heater turns on, which it didn't before. Question, it seems the pool is still running, circulating water from the waterfall in the spa into the pool. Is this normal? I am assuming the spa water needs to flow into the pool so that it can go through the skimmers and through the system. Am I correct? When the valve handle points toward "Pool Return" does the handle indicate water flow? When would the valves be turned to point towards spa/pool main darin, when draining the pool? Thanks for responding. I am still a pool newbie. On most all systems I have seen the spa can be recirculated from the spa back to the spa so you can heat only the spa. It sounds like like from above the pump is pulling from the pool and returning to the spa which would cause the waterfall effect. The valve with the motors should have the word "off" on them. Were the word off is, is the pipe that water is not being pulled from. Don't go by the handle like regular plumbing valvles. In spa mode only the spa drain and spa returns should have water flowing. In pool mode it should pull water from the pool and return it to both the pool and spa to circulate everything. Tryin moving the toggle switch on valve 2 again to circulate the spa water. I hope this makes sense, It hard to explain without seeing the plumbing I see now what you mean. There are tabs on the valve that say OFF, never realized they were there, duh! I played with the switches and got this configuration that works for both pool and spa. Thank you very much for your help. I had called the builder on Friday and haven't heard from him. SPA Mode (when Spa button is pressed on panel) Valve #1 Switch is ON2 with OFF tab towards Pool return Valve #2 Switch is ON1 with OFF towards Pool main From yoiur explanation the pool return and and drain are off and water circulates only through the spa. This configuration turns off the Spa waterfall also.

Whenever I hit the Spa button on my EasyTouch panel, my spa starts to drain the water out. I had this problem once before and the builder camne out and did something but don't remember what. It's ony 3 years old. When the pool is running, everything is fine and these are the positions of the 2 valves (not including the skimmer valves): Valve #1 (I'll call it that) Valve has handle to the left towards the pool return side of pipe: Pool Return (arrow on pipe points left)------Valve------Spa Return (arrow on pipe points right) Valve #2 (I'll call it that) Valve has handle to the right towards the main drain side of pipe: Spa main drain (arrow on pipe points right)----Valve-------(arrow on pipe points left)Main Drain When i hit the spa button, valve @ 2 turns to the left towards the spa main drain. I attached a drawing but don't know if it appears. Any help/info would be appreciated. I'm suspecting that the #2 valve is programmed incorrectly. How hard is it to program? Thanks
