  1. "It's a 2001 and they told me I have had it beyond a "reasonable timeframe" " I would have to agree. That's a long time. Your pushing a decade there bud. I wouldn't take it back either and I own a p2. There has to be a reasonable amount of time to cover something. I doubt anyone could stay in business if they took stuff back no questions asked after it's wore out.
  2. If you did not see this I posted on the installing the Reflectix insulation. LINKY
  3. Ya I used to live in CA when I was a kid. It was hot as hell in Redding. Btw that was just a random video. Not mine.
  4. Are you talking about
  5. Well done! I love stuff like this. Do it your self stuf that is. BTW 303 Aerospace protectant well bring a lot of life back into your vinal. undefined
  6. Refreshing topic. Thanks. I think you sure could be held liable. I know from what I've read that alcoholic beverages in the tub don't mix because the alcohol make it much easier to get overheated. People who are intoxicated can pass out easily. The body does not cool it self as well. With that said I've done it. But I don't get in the tub smashed. I'm talking maybe 2 or 3 beers tops during a 30 minute soak. My guests never seem to go over that limit. Clearly it is not a good idea. My GF lost a GF of hers that was smashed in a hot tub. She was alone in the tub and passed out. Drowned. I think some people are able to control them self and other well be careless and run into problems.
  7. As a last resort you could contact the media. I'm thinking media bust. 5:00 News top story
  8. Well I can bust out any house ya want but ships carpentery is a whole different ball game. I never tried anything like that but I do have an eye for clean lines. Your dad must have been very strong to do that kind of work. Good on him.
  9. Thanks. I'm a framing contractor so the job was up my ally. I estimated the cost for this project because I didn't have to pay for the wood or decking. . It was all scrap left over from a job.
  10. Here are a few pic showing the construction of my steps. I made them my self and the cost was under 250.00 They took about 3 hours to build. They are made out of Pressure treated wood and covered with composite decking. It was not hard to build but is heavy. That's good because it makes it really stable. I made a cardboard jig to copy the arch of the hot tub corner. This I copied to the outside corner of the main step. I used a nail gun to do the framing but listed screws because most people don't have a nail gun laying around. Screws are better anyways. I used : 2x8 P.T. 4x4 P.T. 2x6 P.T. 5-1/2" Evergrain decking 3-1/2" Stainless steel screws Tools: Skillsaw Screw gun Jig saw (to round of the corner) router ( to round over corner) Framing Square Tape measure
  11. I work construction and can tell you I get my aches and pains. I sure feel a lot better after tub'n for sure. FWIW my GF has very bad back pain and has has great sucess with CELEBREX. From their site: CELEBREX is an NSAID that relieves arthritis pain, stiffness, and inflammation. For many people, just one 200-mg dose provides 24-hour relief. CELEBREX has never been taken off the market; on average, more than 1 million prescriptions are filled for CELEBREX each month.
  12. Ya I'm sure HS well get right on that.
  13. Hydrospa closed it's doors. You need to press Rona to replace the tub or have it professionally serviced.
  14. Ya it does work very well. I did the same thing over grass and onto the Patio. I put down overlapping sheets of 7/16" OSB over the grasss with the idea that the pipes would step down the 7/16" drop and the sheets lapped towards the direction I wanted to go.
