  1. Lets assume you have to have a tech 3 times for 600. Thats 1800 bucks. A new Cameo is 8-9 grand and should last 12-18 years. For 1800 bucks you should have 4-10 years left. What part of the country are you in? i am in georgia and i have not seen any pipe freeze and bust in the foam. Chicago area. Was absolutly the most brutal time of the year last years winter. Pump died and the noises the tub was making was horrible. We made a stupid decision to shut it off and hope. That caused it to freeze up. The pump was replaced in the spring and then we refilled but hat terrible leaking. We pulled out the foam from one area and found several leaks. We havent done anything since then.
  2. That all depends on what it is going to cost to repair. Have you had a service tech come out and give you a estimate? About $600 to fix the known leaks and replace the known parts that have leaks. After fixing those refill and then if more leaks they would need to rip more of the foam insulation away and repeat. Thats the issue how many leaks are there. Then when it is all done when will we need to replace other parts because the tub is now 8 years old.
  3. We had a Sundance Cameo freeze last winter. It requires major leak repair and then new foam insulation put in. Would you replace or repair?
  4. Were going to order a New Hot Tub from Costco. The Evolution (Strong) CSXi80 and the Majestic 60 jet 6 person spa seem very similiar? We are replacing a Sundance Cameo that froze up last winter and requires considerable repairs to fix leaks. Was 7 years old. Just feel that the continued repairs over time make it best to replace and my wife doesnt want to spend more than $5K.
  5. We have a Sundance Spa that is 4 years old and I have decided to do more than the usual refill and reset up that I do every 3-4 months. We have hard well water and I feel that the jets simply arent as powerful any longer and hard water calcium deposits and some scum has built up. Also just plain harder to get the water to that nice clean smelling (non chemical) and clear (not tinted) look. So I picked up some Spa Purge as a start. Drained the tub yesterday and refilled. Put in the Spa Purge today and will empty again tomorrow. Any other items suggested? For the past 4 years have basically used the same stuff. Bromine for sanitizer Lots of PH Down to get the PH Low enough. A chemical to get the Metal/Mineral deposits out. Clarifier Any thing else suggested? I also picked up some Spa Perfect as well today. Also saw something about simply putting in the Metal out chemical and letting system run for a day before I do anything else. Can anyone supply details?
