  1. I just want to reach out to all the Arctic owners that have had concerns with the dealers switching to Jacuzzi in the GTA, good luck, because I had to deal with the old service department 2 yrs ago and what a nightmare to say the least!!!!! Well the new Arctic dealer based in Burlington was outstanding, I called on Saturday to report an issue with my Summit and the guy there picked up the phone right away and took all my info and told me I would get a call Monday morning to setup a service call. Mark called first thing Monday and took my information and by 1ish on Monday the tech was here and had my tub repaired, plus NO! trip charge! I just want to give a big thanks for the very smooth service call and to the rest of the owners that had to deal with the old crew you will notice a HUGE difference. Pete Arctic Spa Lover
  2. Thanks I will give that a try, my PH was a high. pete
  3. Here's a good one, Ive been using the Bromine tabs sold at Wal mart and they work pretty good but dissolve a little quick for my liking. About a week ago I added some PH up to the tub and now I have what feels like sand paper all over the inside of the tub. What would cause this? Has anyone else had this? Ph up is baking soda, right? The water looks like its been carbonated when the jets are running. Its a Arctic tub and Ive had it on the salt water system, but i did a full drain and started the floater again. Thanks, Pete
  4. How is the newest version working for you all out there, mine was done back in the summer and I'm noticing it slowing down again, so 6 months this time. I think I'm going to give up on this part and go to the puck system!! Great in thought and bad in execution.
  5. Hi I have a Arctic tub with the Onzen as well, did you add sodium chloride salt to the tub when you filled it? if yes then you are getting chlorine from the generator. I was in the same boat with limited use and the levels got a little high so I turn the system off for a few days and the chlorine level dropped off and then I turned it back on. Arctic had some issues with the electrodes awhile back but have upgraded them and moved them closer to the tub water and its been working great, the system is fool proof now. Pete
  6. We have the Summit and my wife loves it, she really like the tight seating.
  7. This is our tub and I think the platinum is the best looking color!!
  8. Hey Captain, yes they are the same size and shape, but they are dry chlorine. They sell them at the Arctic store if your dealer doesn't have them. Pete
  9. Hey Captain, I get the same rash and I know it's not the water because the kids and wife are fine it's only me that gets the rash, and if I don't shower after I get the rash worse. You should try chlorine pucks instead of the Bromine. Pete
  10. Hey Carrie, we have a Arctic Summit and the filter breaks down the more you use the tub, when we first got the tub the filters would last about a month because of the heavy usage, the more your in the tub the more chems you are dumping into the water causing the material to break down. Now we use the tub a couple times a week for a couple of hours, and are filters last 3 months and we don't get any flakes in the water. Happy tubbing, Pete
  11. Post some picks of these awesome tubs!!
  12. Same to you James, and all the great staff at Blue Falls!! Thanks for all the help, we got the pump issue fixed now I get to use my favorite captains chair again and I'm going to get the version 7 done in the spring when it warms up. Take care and happy holidays, Pete
  13. Tubing in the snow is the veryyyy best time!!!!!! Just wear a hat!! Happy tubing, Pete Happy Holidays to all!!!!!!!! :D :D
  14. Hey James, like I said in my e-mail to you, I took the 2 days off work and waited all day Fri with no show or call and then Mary called at 5 on the Fri to inform me that the tech wasn't coming out on the Mon as well, because they didn't have all the parts (but they had everything the Fri before) so I didn't know how long I would have to wait so I ran some fresh start through the tub to clean the lines, dumped the tub, and refilled. Then on the weekend I started to get the FLO error with no filter in the tub. Mary then called Tuesday at 5 to tell me that the tech was coming out on Wed to do the update, I then told Mary that if the tech has to dump the water I don't want it done, but he could come out to check the flo error problem, he came out and said he found a piece of plastic in the pump and when I went out the next day I got the flo error again. The water pressure coming out of the jets isn't as great as it was before I did the water dump, and the water that is getting sucked into the filter canister on high speed doesn't even pull the floater all the way down like it did before. So then I called to inform service that I got the error again and that's when I got the "well if the tech comes out again and doesn't find anything I will be billed a full labor charge". So does that mean if he comes out and doesn't get the FLO error, I get charged, because the pump turns on in both speeds but the weaker pressure would be a judgment call by the tech. I know it's weaker, but the tech could say it's fine, and this is what makes me nervous to call, so do I put up with the issue until it gets worse or risk the 100 dollar charge. Pete Hey tru, I had my dishwasher serviced under warranty and the tech came to my house and the charge was 0$, I don't mind paying for a call that isn't service related i.e. cleaning, yearly checkup, but to use the labor charge as a scare tactic to make the customer second guess him/her self is wrong.
  15. Hey Carrie, we bought our spa at the same dealer and your right Norm is fantastic!!!! And don't give my man Trevor a hard time LOL he is by far!!! the best sales rep that Arctic has and I've been to all the stores in the southern Ont area because my job has me on the road all day. But that been said I feel your pain because I've had similar issues and we love the Summit for comfort and therapy but everything else is a pain in the butt. Pete
