  1. Universal re-plastered our pool, and closed their doors the following week. Now we are facing Mechanic's Liens from the sub-contractors who have not been payed, legal fees and court action with the bond/insurance company, etc. WARNING: the Responsible Managing Officer of the corporation is James Bello, Sr. According to the CSLB, he is also doing business as Carefree Pools and Spas of Upland, CA and as Regal Pools and Spas of Victorville, CA BUYER BEWARE
  2. Thanks for your reply. I realize that the re-bar needs to be ground down. The builder has already made three attempts. My questions concern the repair work after. The patches are unsatisfactory, and the pool has already been acid washed once. I am ready to start getting repair estimates from other sources. (May have to go to lawsuit with builder.
  3. I have a few questions concerning pool repairs. We have recurring rust stains in the plaster, related to underlying re-bar. 3 unsatisfactory repair attempts so far. Can patches be done so they are not apparent? How many times can a pool with 3M plaster be acid washed? Thanks.
  4. Universal Rock Pools & Spas built our pool 2 years ago. It is currently empty, waiting repair of faulty patches over recurring rust spots in the plaster. Their customer service is extremely poor (Lack of communication, missed appointments, unreturned phone calls). Problems encountered include; Waterfall built without initial consultation, requiring 2 major corrections. Decking poored by their preferred vendor was faulty, requiring demolition and replacement. Recurring rust stains in plaster (3 unsatisfactory attempts to repair so far) Illegal alien workers who don't speak English. As of this posting, my last request for them to provide proposed corrections and schedule for same has gone unreturned for 2 weeks
