Just changed to salt water system.First I drained the pool clean the liner and now I am filling up with a tap water.wHAT NEXT?
I now I have to put in the salt (10 bags). How about rest of the chemicals. Do I have to bring back the ph,cynaric acid and all the rest of the chemistry or just a salt and cynaric acid?
Thanks

You still need to maintain exactly the same water balance as you did with manual chlorination. The SWG will make the chlorine for you but you still need to balance the TA, CH, have the CYA in the manufacturer's recommended range, test your chlorine levels and adjust the output of the genterator to maintain it in the proper range, etc. Keep close watch on your pH. SWGs tend to cause it to rise. Also keep an eye on your salt level and add salt whenever it drops low. SWGs simplify pool maintenance but they do not eliminate it nor the need for water testing.
I've tested more water than I ever care to think about!
