Jwolf Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 Hi all, We are getting delivery of our new 2013 jacuzzi J-425 tomorrow. We are completely new to the game, but are fairly competent with the chemicals after days--weeks actually--of reading the hot tub water chemistry forum. Anyway the question is this - what do we have to do normally with a new spa besides filling it and balancing it for the first time? I know we should probably super chlorinate and empty before balancing. Do we have to remove filter before this? Also, when starting a new spa or changing a filter, what do we have to do to the filter before putting it in the spa, or can you just put it in and it's good? Also, would spa system flush be beneficial in addition to superchlorination? Could I run the spa system flush and then superchlorinate in one fill? Thanks - this forum is great! Quote
Spa_Guru Posted June 12, 2013 Report Posted June 12, 2013 Follow the directions from your dealer, then if anything goes wrong, it's on them to fix it. Quote
