Doug1 Posted May 28, 2013 Report Posted May 28, 2013 I'm trying to get this right the first time, what is the recommended distance from a Hot Tub to the side of a bungalow? I'm worried about the condensation causing ice up and doing damage to the house / eaves-trough or roof. I'd also hate to have icicles falling off the house damaging the spa. Any comments on having the spa surrounded on 2 sides by a retaining wall would be appreciated as well. How much clearance is recommended and would it help the Hot Tub maintain temperature? I'm located in Southern Ontario. Thanks for your help. Quote
Roger Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 Close to a door but not to close, far enough as to not hear it running in the house. Private, protected from as much wind as possible and with the best view possible. Give the service guys as much as you can. If that is 2 feet it's tight. Quote
