Caveman65 Posted May 26, 2013 Report Posted May 26, 2013 Just traded an old shotgun to a 2006 Catalina Hot Tub. Tub is in rough shape. Control box/ heater was disconnected, pump/pumps are missing but blower is present. Topside panel is there but peeling badly. Outside skirting is there but in bad need of some stain. My question is if anyone has any knowledge of this model of tub. From the plumbing I think I've figured out it did have two pumps. It has a Hydro Spa HS-200 Panel (Balboa) and a 7 button topside panel. Anyone know what type/size pump this beast had in it? It looks like it had a pump that fed the heater/panel and then another stand alone pump. Both have 2" pipe going to them. I'm not new to fixing up old hot tubs, but usually I have the old parts to work from. Never fixed one with 2 pumps. Would they both be 2 speed pumps? HP rating? Quote
Spa_Guru Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 Pictures would be helpful, but Catalina usually used Waterway or Aqua-Flo 56 frame pumps with 2" unions. Twin pump systems are typically 240 volt, one of the pumps (plumbed thru the heater) will be two speed, the other may be either one or two speed. Quote
