i recently bardered for a round hot spot spa. it ran at his house with no issue. i filled i t up and have been running it however it is leaking on the oposite side of the pump. i dont know if it is a leaking jet i just have no idea. how hard is it to replace a jet? the plastic skirt does show any indication that removal is possible.

like i said i am new this so any advise would be grateful. its a small puddle.

thanks!

The Solana series are quite difficult to repair, a common rookie mistake is to roll a round tub just because it is possible, and this usually damages plumbing.

Complete removal of the base and side paneling to repair it are likely, they are not repair friendly at all.

This is an Rlx, a Hot Spot from the nineties/early 2000's...

not a solana.

But remember, just because you see the water coming out "on the opposite side of the pump" might just mean the spa is sitting on a slight slope, and water runs downhill. Be sure to check out the pump, drain, and the light (if equipped)

Pray it's leaking somehwere you can reach, because going at it from the bottom... no fun

It's on a flat surface and one of jets has air coming out all the time.just a little

That usually just means the air flow control won't close all the way.

Have you inspected the equipment compartment?

I have inspected the equipment compartment and it is bone dry. The other night I was in it and this ring, plastic with for a lack of better terms, spikes came off of one of the jets. The piece holds the jet and when back into place but it doesn't snap in or anything. That's why I think I may need to replace that jet. Can it be done from the outside or do I have to rip this thi.g apart?

The jets inserts are removable, but have nothing to do with a leak. It doesn't matter if it's in or not, it won't leak because of it. They're made to be pulled out and moved around while you're using the spa. There are two kinds of jet- spinners and directional, and you can move them around to the place you like best when they're not broken. But again- they have nada to do with any leaks.

Sure. Nothing to take apart. You don't even need to drain it...

The design has changed somewhat. Where the four posts go into the piece that's threaded into the jet, is now a single piece. There 4 posts are a thing of the past. The disc with 4 holes the posts would snap into is a thing of the past. So you'll need to use one of the old jets as a wrench to unscrew the old disc with 4 holes out of the wallfitting. It will make sense once you have a new jet in you hand. It's a very common Hot Spring jet, your local Hot Spring dealer will have them in stock, if not, backyard plus will have them on-line at a great price.
