LIGHT WAS NOT WORKING SO I SHUT OFF HOT TUB TO CHECK LIGHT BULB AND CONNECTIONS--WHEN I RESTORED POWER THE HOT WOULD NOT COME ON, ONLY "CLICK". I PUSHED THE RESET BUTTON ON MOTOR AND PUMP CAME ON AFTER RESTORING POWER, BUT PUMP RAN ON HIGH AND I COULD NOT CHANGE OR STOP IT--NO LED READOUT ON TOP-SIDE CONTROL BOX--REPLACED TOP-SIDE CONTROL BOX (APPEARED TO HAVE MOISTURE IN BOX) AND RESTORED POWER BUT NOTING HAS CHANGED--PUMP STILL RUNS ON HIGH AND NO LED READOUT ON CONTROL BOX. ANY SUGGESTIONS: MOTHERBOARD, CHIP/EPURN OR WHAT?

If your board is wired with a neutral, you'll be able to retrofit a standard Balboa circuit board of the same type and firmware. If this is a 240 volt only Keys board, they were proprietary to Keys from Balboa. Balboa stopped making them when Keys went belly up. You may also get lucky finding someone with an NOS board on the shelf, but not likely.

THANKS JOHN FOR REPLYING--WAS HOPING I COULD GET IT WORKING WITHOUT HAVING TO REPLACE ENTIRE CIRCUIT BOARD (EXPENSIVE!!) --MAYBE EVEN THE CHIP BUT CANNOT SEEM TO FIND CHIP ANYWHERE ON LINE. JIMBO48

I would power the system down, unplug and plug back in all of the plugs a couple of times, then power it back up to see if you just have a funky connection somewhere that you disturbed.

Make sure it is powered down for a good 10 minutes. 7 years, you did good. I have seen plenty of these 5 years old that were being disposed of. They were big box store tubs. But they were priced cheap enough you could have 3 and get 15-20 years for about the price of a very good quality tub. And have a new tub every 5-6 years.

It sounds to me like the firmware chip got hosed. As such, a board rebuild will not help you. Powering down for awhile, then repowering might. Good luck.

TRIED THE POWER-DOWN AND UNPLUG ROUTINE--DID NOT HELP. UNIT HAS NOW BEEN POWERED DOWN FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS SO I AM SURE IT HAS HAD ENOUGH TIME TO "RESTART" BY NOW. I CAN ORDER NEW MOTHERBOARD FOR HOT TUB--SMAE NUMBERS AS ORIGINAL--WILL THIS TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEMOF CHANGING HIGH SPEED PUMP TO LOW SPEED AND CONTROL ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS--CAN GET REPLACEMENT BOARD FOR ABOUT $275.00--WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Be careful. If your current board has a load neutral connection, you'll be good to go with the standard Balboa board of that number. If your current board does NOT utilize a load neutral, you are out of luck. You'll have to change your entire control package.
