Firemedic138 Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 My Sta-Rite heater blower motor wasn't running at full speed, so I was getting the "AFS" error message. I bought a replacement (new) blower motor assembly, and it is a dual voltage motor which is supposed to fit older and newer models. The problem is that it has six wires of various colors, but the old motor (110V only) only had three wires of black, white and green. Obviously, the two harnesses don't match up, and there was no wiring diagram included in the box. Does anyone know the correct wiring for the dual-voltage motors when installing as a replacement for the 110v heater motor? Quote
Pool Clown Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 There should have been a connector(in the box) that accepts the new style plug. Quote
Firemedic138 Posted May 9, 2013 Author Report Posted May 9, 2013 Thank you for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately, there wasn't an "adapter" harness in the box. (I bought it off of e-bay). So, if anyone has done this swap and can tell me the wiring, I can replicate it without the adapter plug with a little work. Anyone have a photo or diagram of the missing adapter? I would hate to have wasted $300... Quote
Pool Clown Posted May 11, 2013 Report Posted May 11, 2013 You may be able to get tech support to help you , or even get the connector from them Or point you in the right direction. Maybe even get the instruction literature that came with the connector. (picture/illustration) Quote
