tom.burns60 Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 Hey out there. Problems with my Jandy LX400N-L Heater. Al ittle back ground. Came home one night and the breaker on the main panel had tripped. Reset, but heater would not fire. Did some trouble shooting & found the ignitir was bad. R&R the ignitor, fired up the unit but same thing. Ignitor providing the right amount of resistence. This tells me a signal is not telling the ignitir to fire (blowe on, gas valve opens, smell gas then nothing). Three tries then AGS error code. Fenwal ignition control gives me 3 flashes (ignition lockout). Looking for help tracing the problem. Is there a way to test the ignition control? It couldn't be the flame sensor could it? Thanks in advance for any help. Quote
Pool Clown Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 Didn't read this till after i posted on the other thread. probably Ignitor is bad or connection to. unplug igniter wires and check them for voltage when heater tries to fire. If you get the gas smell, the heater wants to fire meaning all safety switches have closed. Igniter, connection to, or fenwal(switch that gives power to igniter) should be checked. Quote
