maico18z Posted March 10, 2013 Report Posted March 10, 2013 I've got a leak at a part that screws into the horizontal pipe at the bottom of the board? I have a pic but can't figure out how to post. The part is about the size of a spark plug with two leads at the top. Not sure if I can replace the part, (it screws in) or if I have to replace the whole board, It's says "spabulilders scmp1xxxx..." Any help posting pics would be great, thanks Quote
spanorth Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 I'm not going to be much help on the leak issue, but for the picture, you should upload it to a photo hosting service (flickr, photobucket, shutterfly, picasa, etc) and then place a link to it here. You are likely to get more help by giving the brand, model, and year of the hot tub as well. Good luck! Quote
Spa_Guru Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 After you upload your photo to a hosting service they will supply you with a direct URL link for the photo, you then click the 11th icon in the bottom row above where you enter your text to respond, (the one that is just below the smiley face and looks like a green square) and paste the URL in the pop-up box. maico18z Posted March 11, 2013 Author Report Posted March 11, 2013 Thanks guys, here's the leaky part. Is this a pressure switch? Quote
Spa_Guru Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 You can get one from here; http://www.pool-spa-supplies.com/index.php/electrical/pressure-switches/dimension-one-pressure-switch-len-gordon-01515-04.html Make certain you close your gate valves and drain the water from the heater before removing the switch or you will soak your circuit board. maico18z Posted March 20, 2013 Author Report Posted March 20, 2013 Thanks for all the replies. I replaced the switch but I'm getting a "flo" error message. According to the manual, this indicates that there is no pressure sensed and the unit automatically shuts down the heater, (everything works but the heater). What should I check at this point? Quote
maico18z Posted March 20, 2013 Author Report Posted March 20, 2013 I'd also like to add that, the GFCI was tripping and that was what I noticed before checking anything. I discovered the leaking pressure switch and replaced that. Now, the GFCI does not trip and everything but the heater works. The pressure switch had a lot of corrosion, (see pic above), I don't if that means anything other than that it was wet and that caused the corrosion. Quote
maico18z Posted March 20, 2013 Author Report Posted March 20, 2013 So I just read in another post that the "flo" error code also reads pressure switch probs., and that the pressure switch has a dial or screw on top that you can adjust for sensitivity. Since my "flo" error code indicates that there is no pressure, could I or should I attempt to adjust the switch first? Quote
Spa_Guru Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 To lighten the required pressure to activate the heater, turn the center screw counter clockwise 1/4 turn at a time, rechecking for heater activation for a full minute each time. (Boards often have a 30 second delay for heater activation) Quote
