I have a hot tub that works on every level, the heat, the jets and such. However, the tub won't hold water and the water leaks strictly out of the pump. There's a hole it comes out of, and the hole is supposed to be there. So I'm thinking that there's a leak in a seal in the pump. Am I on the right track? Is it feasible that I can reseal this pump? And if so, can I get some pointers? Thanks for your help.

The hole water is coming out of is where? Between the motor and plastic portion (wet end)?

It's coming out of the pump itself. There's a circular hole at one end of the pump that the water comes out of. I will look at it again and describe it better when I'm home. However, I know it's not leaking anywhere else, directly out of the pump.

I've looked at it again and the hole has groves in it, like something can be, or should be screwed into it. So maybe I just need to plug it up?

Maybe your bleeder plug vibrated out?

Depending on the type of pump, the hole needs to have a plug in it that is either pipe threads or NC threads, the plug was probably removed by the previous owner to prevent freezing.

The plug in the pump may be either pipe threads or bolt threads depending on the manufacturer.
