howdy,

I traded an atv for a 6 person hot tub. All we read about monthly bill increase prior was 25-45 dollar. Our normal bill is 110-120, now it's 235 and 230 for our first 2 months with th tub.

Any insight as to this tremendous increase?

Please tell us how we can reduce our energy consumption.

Runs on 50a circuit.

Kept at 101-103

We live in Minnesota.

Thanks

Dan

Let's suppose for a moment that your spa is operating normally and well insulated.

New hot tub owners tend to tub a lot.

Time spent with the top off is time spent heating the sky, regardless of brand.

"Average" use is 3 times a week for 30 min.

Without knowing what tub you have, how big, how we'll insulated etc... It's hard to say but I have a hot spot rhythm 220v in the NC mountains where the weather fluctuates from 50 in the day to high 20s at night and it costs me about 30-40$ a month to keep at 104 using mine 3-4 times a week for 45 min

I live in Minnesota and I had -9 last night

Great score but you're really golfing in the dead of winter in Minnesota? :D

Hard to find the ball with all the snow also.
