Hi,

I am unable to get my 1400 toproduce any chlorine. The current codes are 171 and 190. I have to this point replaced the sensor and back board. I have gently cleaned my cell with acid and it looks good. I wonder if at this point if it would be better to purchase a new 1400 system before buying a $400 front board and / or $500 cell. My system is about 5 years old. Any advice?

Thanks!

Often other components cause an error code that is unrelated to the component being blamed.

(Wow, did that make any sense?)

The typical life of a cell is 5 years(10,000 hrs). Is the salt level is correct? What is the level? Test should be done with a digital or electronic tester. Not test strips.
