Hi everyone I am looking to buying a used Baquapure Sand filter. I am replacing my liner in my above ground 12X18 oval pool. The filter I am looking at (on craigslist) is 22inches and it has a water polishing system included. Can anyone tell me how old this system is? It is a big blue bubble and looks to be in good shape. I can't find any information on these "water polishing disk" that you use with the system. Any help is appreciated! Thank you-

I would be careful purchasing any used filter. Filers are not normally changed out unless they have a problem such as a cracked lateral or a crack in the filter housing. The BaquaPure Filters are not longer made. They were originally manufactured by WaterWay Plastics as an integrated "skid paks" (filter, pump, chlorinator combo units) for above ground pools. . As to the 'polishing discs", they are no longer available to my knowledge but the canister is just an inline chlorinator and the "polishing discs" were just 3" chlorine tablets.

IF I am not mistaken, Waterway still makes this filter (or an almost identical one) and the inline chlorinator under their name.

Buy a cartridge Filter system much easier to maintain and filter just as good as Sand and require no backwashing or wasting water just a cleaning and or replacement once a season depending on usage !
