Gonfish Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 Hi. Can anyone tell me what hose size the average modern above-ground pool uses, as input and output from the pump? Are they garden hoses? I need to step-down the giant hoses on a big propane heater so I can sell it to an above-ground pool user. Thank you!! Quote

Typically 1 1/2" to 2", depending on the size of the pump...and no, you can't use a garden hose. Be sure you have adequate flow through the heater, I'm a little freaked out you asked about a garden hose. Quote
