Chrysi Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Hello everyone! I've got a swimming pool which has problematic tile joints. In conjuction with the pumps that were not working properly, I was experiencing serious algae problems. I decided to change the pumps, but cannot change the tiles or fix the joints as it's very expensive. Therefore, I was thinking of installing a copper silver ionization water system equipment or an ultrasound water treatment. Both systems promise algae control.... What do you think? Given the fact that I will install better pumps, do you think that either of the two water treatment systems will solve the algae problems? Quote
waterbear Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 In a word, no. If you have algae then your chlorine levels are not OK. Please post a full set of test results so we can get a better idea of what is happening in your water and some description of the equipment that you have. Quote
