Need Help Identifying Bugs In My Pool

Hello everyone, I need help to id these little pests in my pool. Not sure if they are "backswimmers"? Would like to know how to kill them and keep them out.

I am far from being an entomogist, but I googled water bugs and it looks like you might have what's called a "water boatman"

Here's what I found:

With the lack of repsonses here, I'd recomend googleing water boatman for yourself and comparing pictures of them to what you have. Once we know what type of cooties you have, we can figure out how to get rid of them.

Thanks Trigger, the ones I have are very small, about the size of a house fly. Thank goodness I dont have the ones in your second pic!!

Those are definitely water boatmen. I've seen them in pools and lakes before. They're kind of fun to watch. We never had so many that is wasn't easy to get rid of. Usually we could get them all with a skimmer net.
