Liner & Safety Cover Questions

Hello,

I had to replace the liner on my 20x40 inground pool this summer and chose a new company to do the work. They weren't impressed with the company that had installed the pool & serviced it since 1994. I bought the house in 2006. The new company redid the sand bottom using vermaculite and installed a new liner from pacific. The pool had 3 intakes (2 skimmers and drain at bottom) and 1 return. They redid the drain as a return so that I now have 2 intakes and 2 returns. They also installed an aquacal heat pump. The electricians were unhappy because the new pool company installed the heat pump right in back of the fence - easy access for us, but blocks the electrical panel and was hard for them to do the work. The guidelines for installation say 3 feet clearance and they did about 6 inches. The pool seems to be working well except for more water loss than before, which they attribute to now having a much warmer pool. I am concerned because the liner does not lay flush on the bottom edge of the shallow end. The old liner was flush all the way around but you can definitely feel an inch of air between the floor and the liner at the bottom corner. The new company says that it's impossible to make a liner lie perfectly and that it's fine. Is this true?

I am currently shopping for a safety cover. The new company will install a green mesh pacific brand safety cover. The old company will install a loop loc cover for $130 more. Is there any difference between the brands?

should I go with the new company, the old company or find a new one? I like the new company but I'm just wondering if everything sounds well done.
