I was balancing my pool this weekend and thought I should check my salt cell setting. I opened my box to see my "led's" lit up like a christmas tree. I have power, that's my only green light, and "-Pcb-" is displayed on my read out. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Try killing all power to the unit for a minute to 'reset' it. This can often remedy the situation you describe. You might need to set the instant salt (turning to super-chlorinate and then back to normal) to the correct level shown in the diagnostics menu afterwards since it might display the default of 2600 ppm (or 1600 ppm depending on the software revision) for the average salt.

The problem can be the current limiter in the upper right of the circuit board. IF the disk is cracked or the board is black or burned looking where it is soldered in then it's an inexpensive repair to try.

If that does not work a call to Goldline tech support would be in order. Usually, bot not always, you get someone who knows what they are doing. Last time I needed to call them it only took about 15 minutes for the very nice young lady to understand what I was talking about, ask someone else while I was on hold, and give me the info I needed.rolleyes.gif

You might need to replace the board.

If your unit is under any type of warranty then I would call Goldline first.

I saw something today that i had not seen before. First time i have been to this place, and upon opening the Aqua-Rite box, I noticed a wire hooked up to the Jandy interface. It was a single pair cable and the red and green wires were hooked up to where the buss showed red and green, but i follow this wire to what looked like a temp sensor On the pipe between the filter and pump. WB, seen that before?

Not sure I quite understand. The red and green connects from the 4 connector bus on the Aquarite to the Jandy or to a temp sensor?. I know to hook an aquarite to a Goldine Aqualogic or a pentair or Polaris or jandy control all use the 4 connector block to connect together (red, green, yellow, black). Temp sensors will be connected to the control unit to a different connector block with several connection pairs and differ a bit between manufacturers. Temp probes just have two connectors. Then again, installing and connecting everything is not a trivial task and I am sure that more then one such setup has been wired wrong, particularly when mixing components from different manufacturers.

Off the top of my head I would have to say it was miswired by someone. Is the water temp sensor working? I would think it is not. Is the goldline unit hooked up to the jandy at all or just to the temp probe?

Durn website!

WEbsite has been screwed up since saturday morning!

Yea, seems to be doing different things each day.

Thats the first time i had seen something like that. Never seeing it, and never hearing about it, i unplugged it. It doesn't look like a Jandy or a Pentair sensor. I'll ask John with Hayward next month at the PIE show about it, but i doubt he has heard of it.
