Sand In My Pool

I have an inground salt water pool with a cartridge filter. Since switching to salt last year I am getting a sand sediment in the pool that the vaccuum is removing, My pool supplies exoert has never seen this before. Does anyone know what the cause might be?

Post a full set of water test results. I suspect that it might be calcium precipitating out but need to know you water balance to be sure (and not after you have adjusted it either).

you are experiencing calcium deposits from your salt cell

Check the Alkalinity of the water. if it's too high 100+ the salt cell will produce white-ish looking deposits through the return line.

If the debris really is "sand" and it's always in one corner of the pool, then a return line is cracked and bringing the sand into the pool.
