I have a 4 year old inground pool that had a Mineral Springs MS-11. I had alot of problems with the cell. So I changed the cell to the Hayward/Goldline Turbo T-15 Cell...Now when i put in the new cell it reads HI...so I turned off waited 24 hours...and still reads HI

Any suggestions ????

what is your salt level? We all are going to want to know FC CC pH ALK TH CYA and salt. Also, there is debate about right or wrong direction. I always point the wire back towards the pump, not towards the pool. I have found with Jandy cells, backwards doesn't work. The T-cell tends to be less picky.

thks - I brought in a sample to the pool place and everything is good except salt is high 4800 and should be 3000 so i will backwash water out and add new water then test with salt strips to see if its at 3000. then i will turn on my box back on to see if it will register or read now...

A salt level (or mineral level-they are the same thing except for the words on your display) above about 4300 will shut off your unit (which is a rebranded Goldline/Hayward btw) and give you the high salt error. Drop your salt to 3200 ppm, which is the recommended spot for this unit and make sure your CYA (stabilizer) is at 80 ppm to maximize cell life and minimize pH instability.

FWIW, the Turbo Cell T-15 IS the exact replacement for your mineral springs cell. They are the same cell.

IF you would post a full set of water test results NOT done with strips I can give you some more tips for water balance to maximize cell life and minimize pH instability and acid demand.
