azguy Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Hey guys, Im looking at purchasing a hot tub either this year or at the very latest next year. Can you guys steer me any which direction as far as any/every category? Financing? Good brands? Bad brands? Things to look for/watch out for? Looking for a 4-6 seater. Preferrably around 5,000ish. I went into Paddock Pools today and saw a Caldera Montigo that caught my eye. Quote

My suggestion is to find the best dealers close to your area and only then start to narrow down the tub you prefer. Quote
azguy Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Posted July 31, 2010 How much is it usually to wire and cement for it? Quote
Mikey_in_NY Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Ball park contractor prices... $700 for a 8' x 8' x 4" (minimum) cement pad. $800 for a 240V supply, assuming no new service box is required. If you know what you're doing you can obviously save money by doing one or both yourself, but I wouldn't take on the electric unless you REALLY know what you're doing, plus knowledge of all local codes, etc. Quote

I grew up in the Phoenix Metro area back when. Anyhow - Hot Spring, Caldera, Sundance are the good brands in my opinion. There are other major spa brands that work well too, but those would be my suggestions. It looks like Paddock Pools sells Caldera and Sundance (though I'm not really a fan of the Bullfrog spas they sell). Quote

Yeah I was in just a Paddock store last night, am going to the actual manufacturing plant today. Quote
premiumhottubs Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 There are many great tubs to choose from, so it is a decision that only you can make. I recommend that you never make a decision when buying a hot tub with out doing a wet test on it first. What is great for one, is not for another. Having said that, I want to take a moment to suggest you look at a Jacuzzi brand tub. Jacuzzi has many different styles and sizes to choose from, and all with the same great quality. Depending on what it is you are in need for, the Jacuzzi J-series has something for everyone. Premium Hot Tubs Vernon Jacuzzi Experts Vernon BC Quote

I got the wireless TV add-on, which I don't think I could live without! haha. My cousin has the Aria model and only has good things to say as well. I'm pretty sure that's also a 5-seater. Anyway, you should check out the Hot Spring hot tub model page and then find a dealer near you that carries your model. Good luck, man! Quote
