Hi,

Leslie's has the Hayward Swimpure Plus on sale. I'm thinking of getting a 25K Gal one for my 17K gallon pool. Is this a good fit? I have an old plaster pool.

Thanks,

Wilson

Personally I would go with the 40K model. I would not put the 25K one on a pool bigger than about 12-14K but it is a close call.

However, the larger cell will translate into better pH control and lower operating costs in the long run.

average cell life is 5 years but YMMV. Oversizing the cell translates into longer cell life. I have seen cells die in a year or two when water chemistry is ignored and/or the cell is sized very close to the size of the pool and have seen some still going strong after 8 years when water chemisty is watched and the cell is oversized.
