Brianmonty Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I am having trouble with the CC test. When I follow the instructions to get the FC I then add the 5 drops of R-0003 and the test does not turn pink. I took a sample of the water to the pool store and they said my CC was very high (about 7 with a FC of 2). The next time I did a test for CC the sample did not turn pink immediately. I than waited about 3 minutes and the sample did turn pink. Any idea why this would be? Am I doing something wrong? Quote

If the test does not turn pink immediately after adding R-0003 (after completing the titration for FC) then there is no CC. It will turn pink on standing but that can be ignored. That always happens. If you have CC the change back to pink is immediate. I would trust what you are doing over the pool store. Quote
