I decided to replace the whole water return valve setup and It leaked, I tightened it more and it leaked still. I threw it away and drained the water down and started over with a new setup. I put plumbers tape on it both times and it still drips. I am frustrated and I am thinking about sealing it all up with silicone. Am I doing something wrong? The second time I tightened the outside with the big wrench only half a turn because the first time I tightened it so much that it broke the cork ring.
