smoon26 Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 After having an easy set pool for the last 4 years, our new puppy tore the ring up before we inflated it this year. =) I feel that we got our money's worth on that one, although I wish it would have made it one more year. So, we are looking for a new pool, and are looking at the 15' by 4' metal frame pool. We have a play area that we put the pool on in the summer (so we don't sacrifice more grass!), and are trying to decide if we have to expand it or not to fit a 15' metal frame intex pool. The play area measures just about exactly 15', and has timbers around the edge. So before we buy, I thought I'd ask anyone if you know the actual footprint of the pool. Is it just at 15', or is it an approximate number, and is actually (hopefully) just a couple inches less? Also, is the depth the depth to the top, or to the water level? Thanks so much! I'm so glad I found a forum on which to ask these questions! Quote
tabbikat86 Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 I have an easy set intex pool and my friends mom has an intex pool with the metal frame. In my pool I'm only supposed to fill it up to 80% capacity but in her moms pool you can fill it up to 90% capacity...so a 4ft pool with a blow up ring is probably only about 3.5 ft. I bet that one w/o a blow up ring is probably a little deeper. I don't know how to answer your other question...not sure but good luck! Quote
