Reversing The Cover Opening

I have a VITA-SPA Chateau and we would like to have the cover open the exact opposite way to allow privacy but still allow panel access. There are vents in the side of the spa sides near the front. are there any concerns with removing the spa cover holder and putting on so that the cover opens to the front, panel side of the spa?
