JPB Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Just noticed that my hottub cover (2 months old) does not sit perfectly flush with my hottub...in other words, if I push on the top theres about a 1/2 inch gap between it and the lip of the hottub. Is that normal? I have a cover lifter, cant remember what kind, but its just a standard one that came with the hottub (the cover folds in half and then stands up at the side of the hottub... should i be worried about this? thanks, jb Quote
kaseykent Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 There really shouldn't be a gap, you could easily be losing heat out of it. Most covers should create kind of a vacuum seal after sitting on the hot tub and fit pretty snugly. If you just purchased it, I would talk to the manufacturer or dealer and tell them the problem, because a quality cover should not do that. Good Luck! Quote
Dr. Spa Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 The cover should be flat. It's also possible the top of the spa isn't flat. If the cover has tie down straps you can use them to put down the cover and the cover may either flatten or conform to the top of the spa. Quote
