I am getting the Service code 123

I have cleaned the unit, Aqua Pure 1400, in acid diluted, and cleaned the sensor. Unplug, checked, wiped off prongs and plugged in the DC cord.

What's up?

there is a small board inside the unit that has stopped putting out dc volts for the cell. That is what service code 123 means. You can test this with a volt meter on dc scale were the cell cord is connected. make sure the unit is trying to generate.

A 123 service code is extremely low current to the cell. Meaning that the cell is not drawing current from the back board.

If the board fails there is no power for the cell to draw current. no voltage no current

Thats interesting, Have you changed a back board that was giving you a cell error code before?

Yeah I did, it would seem the cell would be bad because of the code. so I used a amprobe to test first and it was 0. I knew the voltage changes of a Goldine unit when the cell is off and/or on. I tested the output dc volts from the board and it was 0. From my electric schooling if the is power(voltage) is 0, there is no way any device can draw amps.

Well yeah, I don't dispute that, but how did you know El nino's voltage is 0? Or are you trying to tell me 123 codes are always going to be Back boards?

An old Chloromatic II made me chase my tail awhile back. It spit out every code for every part except the flow/salinity sensor, And of course that was what was bad.

no not everytime of course not. Its just some error codes can be misleading. Just like the older Balboa false OH that was due to no snubber for the ozonators that used a ballast. Spa never overheated. On Jandy lx heater giving false codes because the blower went bad. The equipment isn't perfect and sometimes error codes need a closer look, just like your Chloromatic II

I started getting this error as well and my cell does appear to be clean. If the problem is the 'back board' is this something that can be fixed or do I need to replace the part? Any troubleshooting steps or suggestions you can provide are greatly appreciated.
